The e-commerce platform FomoHunt was the first merchant to have officially accepted Huobi Tokens (HT). According to a press release, token holders can now buy products from the store, which has products that range from clothes, hardware, art and others.
James Lawrence, one of the creators of the company, affirmed that this was possible because of an “amazing opportunity” that he had to work closely with Huobi to implement its HT tokens. Now, both companies are working towards offering a better service to their clients. All the assets sold on the digital store can be bought with the new asset (or with Bitcoin).
Now, more merchants are expected to start using the tokens. As HT is not really that popular yet, it may take a while, but Huobi is certainly pushing forward for the adoption of its digital currency outside of the platform. Creating use cases for its technologies is one of the best ways to properly establish some value for the token.
At the time of this report, the tokens are valued at $4.88 USD each, 2% up in the last 24 hours, according to CoinMarketCap.
